Renovation Psychology came out of a lifetime of home renovating by the author.  Sharing the hammer with her husband, Dr. Debi has installed kitchens, plumbing, wiring, added 4,000 square feet of living space, sheet rocked, mudded, and done delicate roofing repairs, and more.  Inspired by what she had learned about herself and her family, Dr. Debi began talking about her experiences and the book was born.  By the year 2000, the book had form and a name, soon the website appeared.

Things have taken off from there.  Even though her busy day job as clinical director in an agency with 8 clinicians kept her quite occupied, the book continued to take shape.  By July of 2005, Dr. Debi began a full time focus on the development of Renovation Psychology® to provide materials, media, workshops, and consultations for those who are involved in home renovations.

Opening an office upstairs at a popular salvage dealer, Admac Salvage, her studio neighbors are now artisans and antique dealers.  In the busy downtown of Littleton New Hampshire many a curious visitor finds the creative economy alive and well as they peruse the home studio of Renovation Psychology®.  There you can find the latest news on the book, consultations, plans in the making for new TV and radio shows and fun displays of the miniature tools and remodeling scenes Dr. Debi is collecting.

In the fall of 2005, Dr. Debi's syndicated column began in newspapers across New Hampshire.  The area is growing and so is the syndication - be sure to request it in your home town paper!

The book, Putting the Home Team to Work was released December 10th, 2005 at a lovely event at the Littleton Library.  We are so honored the library hosted this book launch - with the dear statue of Pollyanna outside, another optimist the author has long admired.  (Pollyanna's author had lived at the site of the Carnegie library that now proffers books to all who seek knowledge.)

Dr. Debi is now involved in book tours, workshops, and signings at libraries, hardware suppliers, and bookstores across the country.  Radio and television works are in process - watch for updates!
